On Saturday night, Yaelisa — the Emmy award-winning choreographer, dancer and the artistic director of Caminos Flamencos — returns to Pacifica Performances to once again lay down the gauntlet on this classic dance which she flourishes with a modern approach. Founded by Yaelisa in 1990, Caminos Flamencos is dedicated to enriching and educating the community by presenting innovative contemporary works which reflect the “nuevo flamenco” movement in Spain today. “Our vision has been to expand the vocabulary of traditional flamenco dance and music to include multi-disciplinary collaborations with artists in other fields.”.
